and Embryology

Antarctic urchins
Our research seeks to understand what controls developmental timing during the earliest stages of embryogenesis. We use invertebrate embryos to examine the role of developmental rate in the generation of the evolutionary novelty, adaptation, and changes to gene regulatory network architecture.
